Cooperative Directory & Trade Inquiries
Cooperative Principle 6 ("Cooperation among Cooperatives") states that cooperatives serve their members most effectively by working through local, national, and international structures. The Co-op Directory helps you find and contact other cooperatives on OwnFold.
1. Browsing the Directory
The directory lists active cooperative workspaces on OwnFold. Search by name and filter by cooperative type. Each listing shows:
- Business Details: The co-op's name, cooperative type, jurisdiction, and member count.
- Your Own Listing: Your workspace appears with the details from your settings, so keep your name and state of incorporation up to date.
2. B2B Trade Inquiries
Found a co-op that could supply goods or services, or buy yours? Send a trade inquiry from its listing: describe what you'd like to buy, sell, or collaborate on, and optionally add a quantity and an indicative budget. OwnFold emails the inquiry to that co-op's contact address with your email as the reply-to, so they can respond directly; their address isn't shared with you unless they reply. Routing purchasing through other cooperatives recirculates wealth within the cooperative economy.
