Learn how to compare your cooperative's membership, member capital, revenue, and reserves against the average of similar co-ops on OwnFold.
Federation Benchmarking & Analytics
The Federation Benchmarks dashboard provides comparative analytics. Workspaces can compare their figures against aggregated averages from active cooperatives of the same type (for example, worker co-ops compared with other worker co-ops).
1. Benchmarked Metrics
The dashboard compares four figures drawn from each workspace's records:
- Members: The number of members on your roster.
- Capital Pool: The total of all member capital account balances.
- Gross Revenue: Credits posted to your Sales Revenue account in the general ledger.
- Collective Reserves: The net balance of your Collective Reserves account. Being above or below the cohort average is a quick signal of financial resilience.
2. Peer Cohort Comparison
Your figures are shown side by side with the cohort average. Only averages are displayed, never another co-op's individual figures, and averages appear only when at least five active co-ops of your type are on the platform. The benchmarks are only as accurate as the records each co-op keeps in OwnFold.
